Origin & History
- Following the bifurcation of the state and the creation of Jharkhand in 2000, the 2 prestigious residential schools became a part of Jharkhand, leaving Bihar deprived. The grief of this void was felt deeply by both the Bihar people and the administration. So for the better future of the Bihar, government then started planning to establish a residential school in Bihar specifically for boys and girls.
- On the invitation of our esteemed and visionary Chief Minister Sri Nitish Kumar, a few former Netarhat Vidyalaya students stepped up in August 2009 and began working on the Simultala Awasiya Vidyalaya project. English was retained as the teaching and learning language in light of contemporary demands. Additionally, on August 9, 2009, our visionary Chief Minister recommended that rather than establishing two different schools for boys and girls, a coeducational residential school be established in Sinultala, where deserving boys and girls chosen through an open entrance exam could study under the direction of knowledgeable teachers.
- Under the outstanding direction of Sri. Anjani Kumar Singh, Principal Secretary, Department of Education, the team began working diligently on the project, and in less than a year, the school project was completed. The first group of 120 students, chosen by an open entrance exam, arrived to the school on August 7 and 8, 2010. The honourable chief minister Sri Nitish Kumar handed the state Simultala Awasiya Vidyalaya as a permanent gift and opened the school on August 9, 2010.
